UERA TWG 2 – Accessibility and Connectivity Alain L’Hostis & Ghadir Pourhashem We are pleased to invite members of the TWG and all interested persons to join this online open discussion about the UERA Thematic Working Group 2 "Accessibility and Connectivity" future activities

Walkable, connected, and accessible neighborhoods are becoming a key goal for cities worldwide. But making the 15-minute city concept work in low-density suburban areas, where services are spread out, and public transport is limited, remains a challenge. Over the past three years, the DREAMS project has explored this question across six European cities (Budapest, Brussels, Munich region, Paris, Utrecht, and Vienna). As the project comes to a close, DREAMS is bringing its findings to Munich and inviting researchers, city representatives, practitioners, and local stakeholders to join the conversation. On 21 October, we will host a symposium to present lessons learned and practical experiences, and to discuss how to create more inclusive and accessible neighborhoods. On 22 October, our training day will offer hands-on experience with the tools, methods, and business models developed through the project. Participants will gain practical knowledge, exchange ideas with experts and peers, and explore approaches tested across six urban contexts. We hope you will join us! ELIGIBILITY: Applications are welcome from individuals engaged in research or practice related to mobility, accessibility, outskirts development, or urban planning. Participation is free of charge. Please include your full name, affiliated organization, field of research or practice, and a short motivational paragraph explaining your interest in the event. NOTE: Participation is free. Please be aware that travel and accommodation expenses will not be covered. Participants who attend the Symposium and Training Day will receive certificates of participation.
